Runner Makayla Frosst joining CBU Varsity Track & Field Team
The CAPERS are happy to have Makayla Frosst join the Varsity Track & Field team for long distance running. Makayla hails from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies. She has some strong family ties here in Cape Breton and knew she was coming here since grade 10 as "it feels like home".
Makayla will be focusing on Sport and Physical Acticity Leadership in her studies. "The Sport and Physical Activity Leadership program fits perfectly with my goals, and being able to continue competing at the university level in track and field makes it even better."
Makayla tells us that she comes equiped with drive, discipline and energy. I'm competitive and love pushing myself to improve every time I step on the track," she shared. "Whether it's through my work ethic in training or cheering on teammates during events, I want to help build a strong, supportive team culture that represents the CAPERS well."
Makayla, we're just as excited as you are to wear the CAPER colours to represent CBU.
Welcome to the CAPER family!
