Kublinskas to join AUS Champion CAPERS Soccer Program
The CBU CAPERS women's soccer program is please to announce that Korrina Kublinskas will be joining their program for the 2026-27 season.
Korrina, from London, Ontario, has been playing for the Alliance FC 08G while attending Saunders Secondary School, predominantly as a right/left winger or a right/left back.
CBU Head Coach, Ness Timmons says, "We are fortunate to have Korrina pick CBU as her university of choice. She is the complete package as far as a student-athlete is concerned. She is a top-rated player and student with a terrific personality to match."
When Korrina first started her recruiting journey, she never thought she would end up so far away from my home. "When I had the opportunity to visit the school, everything felt right, from the academics to the soccer. It was exactly what I was looking for in a school," stated Korrina, who plans to study engineering at CBU.
Reflecting on her visit, Korrina shared, "The coaching staff and all the players were so kind and welcoming to me, and I could tell they treated each other like family. The feeling went beyond the soccer team, even when visiting places around the island, you could feel that everyone cared for each other, and they were proud of the student-athletes."
Korrina has experienced high levels of success not only in her soccer career, but also as an OFSAA track & field and cross-country athlete. In her recent soccer career, she was the 2025 Michigan Hawks Combine All Star and 2025 Umbro Cup Tournament Champion and MVP. "The success that I have experienced in soccer is a result of my work ethic and commitment to the sport," reveals Korrina. "I will continue this dedication and discipline during my time at CBU." She told us that she looks forward to learning from the coaching staff and the female athletes and will work hard to contribute in any way.
"Korrina is a terrific athlete and should help us right away," stated Coach Timmons. "She combines her technical ability with quickness and speed. These are terrific assets starting off her university career."
Korrina let us know that her parents were both varsity student-athletes and always told her and her siblings that "being part of a team is more than your performance. Being part of a team is understanding that you are contributing to a family, and like with any family, you will have a role to play." She plans to live these words while a student-athlete at CBU. "Whether large or small, what I contribute, whether in practices or games, will help us be successful."
"From the moment I went on my visit, I felt like I was part of the CAPER family. I look forward to playing for a program with a proven record of U SPORTS accomplishments."
