SYDNEY, NS - The top 2 teams in the AUS men's soccer conference faced off today at Ness Timmons Field resulting in a 1-1 tie.
The first half saw the Tigers take a quick lead at the 7 minute mark with an unassisted goal by Mohammed Wahdan. The CAPERS had 2 opportunities to score but DAL keeper Sinclair Astridge stopped shots from Evan Cunningham and Harvey Hughes.
The CAPERS came into the second half fired up and in under 2 minutes Mateo Goldsztein capitalized on a rebound after a shot from Amadou Bayo and put the CAPERS on the board. CAPERS keeper Jack Harrington saved all of the remaining shots on goal to keep the game tied at the end. Player of the game for the Tigers was Kyle Routledge and the SUBWAYS of CBRM Player of the Game for the CAPERS was Mateo Goldsztein.
The CAPERS remain in 1st place in the conference after 10 regular season games with a record of 7-1-3. They are off for the Thanksgiving weekend and will return to action on the road with games at 7:30pm on October 17 and 18.
