Sydney, NS - The CAPERS shut out the Huskies in their 3-0 victory in AUS Men's Soccer action at Ness Timmons Field. The CAPERS took the lead with an early goal from Nikolai Scheurenbrand assisted by Jacek Marmulak. Seven minutes later Max Piepgrass put one in the net with a pass from Harvey Hughes. Both teams struggled to find the net in the second half until Max Piepgrass popped one in at the 90 minute mark, assisted by Amadou Bayo. CAPERS keeper, Luka Palajsa was able to keep the Huskies shots out of the net to earn a shutout. The player of the game for the Saint Mary's Huskies was Colby Mercer and the SUBWAYS of CBRM Player of the Game went to Max Peipgrass.
The Huskies will face the Dalhousie Tigers on Sunday and CBU will have a rematch with the UPEI Panthers. Games on Sunday are at 11:00 am for the women and 1:30 pm for the men.
