Bongomin to join CAPERS basketball lineup
July 4, 2025
The CAPERS men's basketball program is happy to announce that Oroma Bongomin will be joining our CAPER family this fall. Oroma is a 6' 3" guard from Regina, Saskatchewan, who previously played for the Briercrest Clippers in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC). Oroma and his Clippers were the ACAC Champions for 2024-25. He has also been a 2-time ACAC All-Conference player as well as the Briercrest Rookie of the Year in his 2022-23 season. This past year, Oroma was also recognized as an Academic All-Canadian.
When asked why he chose to make the move to the CBU CAPERS basketball program, Oroma stated, "Great coach, great people, winning culture." He indicated that he plans to work hard once he hits the court in the Sullivan Fieldhouse and hopes to inspire his new teammates to do the same.
"We have targeted Oroma for two seasons," commented Head Coach Matt Skinn. "His work ethic, winning attitude and athleticism will be valuable additions to our lineup. We are excited to add his character and skill to our program and I am excited to coach him!"
The CAPERS basketball program will be back in AUS action in November. Click here to view the full AUS basketball schedule. Keep up to date with CAPERS men's basketball and our other programs at gocapersgo.ca.
Welcome to the CAPER Family, Oroma!
