Letlow among 5 CAPERS to receive awards at convocation
CBU student-athletes represented the CAPERS programs very well this year during convocation. Our 4 programs saw 11 student-athletes graduating from their respective programs.
Kiyara Letlow, a fourth year women's basketball player, received The Governor General's Silver Medal for Academic Excellence, The Canadian Psychological Association Award for Academic Excellence and the Allister McIntyre Memorial Trophy & Award.
Mitchell Mersereau, a fourth year men's basketball player, was awarded the George Leith Community Studies Award and the Cape Breton University Silver Medal for Academic Achievement in his program.
Paige Allaby, a fourth year women's soccer player, received the Canadian Society for Chemistry Medal for the highest academic standing in her program this year.
Carter Brown, a fourth year men's soccer player, was awarded the Connor Timmons Memorial Trophy & Award for community involvement and academic excellence.
Kuvy Moodley, an assistant coach for the men's soccer program, received the John J. McCarthy Memorial Award for the highest average in the final year of the BACS degree.
The CBU Athletics Department would like to congratulate all of our student-athletes, assistant coach Kuvy, and our game day staff who worked diligently the past few years to successfully complete their degrees/diplomas. Your CAPER family is very proud of you and wish you the best in the next step of your journey.
