CAPERS blank les Aigles Bleues 2-0

Sydney, NS - The CBU CAPERS blanked the Moncton Aigles Bleues in AUS women's soccer action at Ness Timmons Field today. 

The CAPERS scored quick in the first half with Audrey Roy finding the net in the 7th minute, assisted by Makenna Bowser. The play was back and forth for the rest of the first for both sides. With 5 minutes left to go in the half, Grace Hannaford made a sweet pass and Paige Allaby got it past the keeper, Krista Phillips. The teams headed to the dressing room with the CAPERS ahead 2-0.

The second half saw the CAPERS have 6 shots on net, all stopped by the Moncton keeper Phillips. Neither team were able to put a point on the board with the game ending 2-0 in favour of the CAPERS. This win brings the CAPER's record to 5-1-2 and sitting in the 3rd spot in the conference with 17 points.

The player of the game for les Aigles Bleues was Lalou Dihlac and the Subways of CBRM player of the game was Paige Allaby.

The CAPERS will be hosting the Bell 2025 AUS Women's Soccer Championships presented by Protocase on October 23-26. The draw for the tournament will be finalized after the end of the regular season on October 18. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
