Head Coach Ness Timmons just completed his 21st year coaching the Cape Breton CAPERS.   

Timmons coached his team to an 11-1 record this past season, with the lowest goals-against in the country. He has led the CAPERS to 9 CIS National Championship appearances.  Ness has received the AUS Coach of the Year award 6 times, and the CIS National Coach of the year twice, as well as the AUS 3M Male Coach of the year (for all sports).The team has won 8 AUS titles and captured CBU's only CIS National Gold medal in 2007.

In the last ten years the CAPERS have enjoyed the best overall record of all soccer teams in the AUS, with the most conference banners in the country, The win-loss record in league play is a very impressive 86% , and the CAPERS have been ranked in the Nation's Top 10 for each of those years. Timmons has also represented Canada as the head coach of the CIS National FISU Games soccer team in South Korea, in 2003.

Timmons lives in New Waterford with his his wife, Jari-Ann. They have 2 daughters, Stephanie and Hannah. CBU offers annual Athletic/Leadership scholarships in the memory of their son, Connor, a former varsity athlete.
