CAPERS finish their season with a loss vs. Axemen

Sydney, NS - The Cape Breton University CAPERS dropped their last game of the season against a talented Acadia Axemen team to a score of 105-79. For the CAPERS, Kyle Hankins (Burlington, ON) ended his Cape Breton CAPERS career with a team-high 19 points and 8 rebounds. Eric Nissen (Quispamsis, NB) poured in 24 points to go along with 10 rebounds for the victorious Axemen.
Turning point - Acadia came out of the gates red hot. They outscored the home squad 23-14 in the first quarter and then 28-14 in the second quarter. Nissen had 15 points for Acadia by halftime.
- Kyle Hankins finished with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and a steal in 32 minutes of playing time.
- Paul Watson (Mississauga, ON) put up 18 points for the CAPERS,
- Eric Nissen had a double-double for the Axemen on 9-15 shooting.
- Nick De Palma (Bedford, NS) also had a great game for Acadia, scoring 22 points on an efficient 8-13 from the field. He was also 50% from beyond the arc.
