Sunday, the Capers were edged 3-2 by the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleues by set scores of 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 23-25 and 15-13.
Individual scoring information wasn't available.
In earlier action Saturday, the CBU women were downed 3-1 by the University of New Brunswick Varsity Reds by set scores of 20-25, 25-21, 25-17 and 28-25.
Leading UNB were Jillian Blanchard with 14 kills and 17 digs, and Tanya Paulin posting 14 kills and 10 digs.
Pacing the CBU squad were Vanessa St. Georges with 14 kills and four digs, and Megan Brown making 13 kills and 15 digs.
"Probably one of the most entertaining matches for anybody watching since I've been here," Capers head coach Claude Lapré said of Saturday's contest. "It was a very good match, played well on both sides. We actually had a very, very strong effort. UNB just came on top slightly." Sunday's match was a different story. "Moncton deserved the match, that's for sure," said Lapré. " They outworked us, basically. That's disappointing when that happens. We worked in spurts. But as a team we never really got rolling."
