(MONTAGUE, P.E.I.) — The Cape Breton Capers women's hockey team captured the Atlantic Collegiate Hockey Association championship with a 3-1 win over the Holland College Hurricanes at the Cavendish Farms Wellness Centre in Montague, P.E.I. on Sunday. The title marked the Capers' first since 2013.

Leah Byrne scored all three Capers goals, while Grace Munro picked up the win in nets as she allowed just one goal, that to the Hurricanes' Jacy MacMillan, to lead the Capers to victory. Cape Breton lost to the Hurricanes in the round-robin, while the tournament's other participant, the Acadia Axewomen, lost by 4-3 scores to both the Capers and the Hurricanes.
