Women's Hockey

The Cape Breton University Women's Hockey Team will compete this year in the Maritime Intercollegiate Women's Hockey league.

This is the inaugural season for the MIWHL.

Current teams in the league include CBU, Acadia, Holland College, L'Universite Sainte-Anne and UNB Fredericton.

The regular season will consist of five round robin tournaments with four games per tournament for a total of twenty regular season games. The league champion will be the team with the most points after the regular season schedule.

Players for the respective teams must be registered for at least one credit course. Each team will be allowed a maximum of three associated players in order to round out the roster.

Practices are scheduled to begin in early Oct., at the Canada Games Complex.
